BCN Architects is looking for an Architectural Graduate or Architectural Technician to join our dynamic Christchurch studio.
We want someone who enjoys design, people and architecture, is keen to contribute to the team, and wants to develop their career through genuine involvement in projects from early design through to construction.
What we're looking for:
- An appropriate architectural or architectural technology qualification.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience within a New Zealand architectural studio.
- Conversant with the preparation of architectural drawings, documentation and detailing
- Knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code and NZS 3604
- A good level of Archicad ability is essential
- A strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & InDesign Essential)
- Good communication skills and the confidence to talk, ask questions and work in with the wider team
- An interest in being involved in projects rather than simply being given a list of drawings to produce
- Strong design skills and an understanding of spatial planning
- 3D visualisation/rendering skills – definitely an advantage
- Attention to detail and pride in producing good work
- A positive attitude, sense of humour and willingness to learn
