Research played an important role in guiding the design. Reducing Stress in Schools by Kathleen Liberty informed a considered approach to colour, highlighting its influence on wellbeing and concentration. In response, a restrained palette of blues, greens, soft greys and natural timber tones was introduced throughout the learning spaces. The staged build, delivered over two and a half years, combined refurbishment and new construction, carefully balancing continuity with change.

The existing Hall and classroom blocks were upgraded, while the removal of outdated buildings at the centre of the site created space for two new teaching blocks, a library and administration facilities. Together, these elements are organised around a landscaped plaza that brings clarity to the campus layout and strengthens connections between shared spaces. The result is a school environment that feels open yet grounded, designed to support learning well into the future.
